Mallam Ibrahim Aliyu
Chairman
Mallam Ibrahim Aliyu is currently the Chairman of Urban Shelter Limited, a real estate development company based in Abuja, Nigeria. He also provides leadership to a number of businesses including Intercellular Plc, a pioneer in the telecommunications industry, Shelter Clay Factory – producers of burnt red bricks and Shelter Suites & Hotels, a holtelier with license to operate hotels under the Wyndham Group USA franchise.
He has served in both state and federal governments in key roles including Secretary to the State Government, Permanent Secretary Communication (Federal) and Permanent Secretary Industry (Federal) as well as serving a pivotal role as Chairman (Director-General) Program Implementation Monitoring Committee (PIMCO) under Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar’s Administration.
A seasoned technocrat, Mallam Ibrahim Aliyu has substantial experience in the banking sector where he was Managing Director Industrial Development Bank (now Bank of Industry). He is also involved in a number of civic and charitable organizations including WRAPA, Niger State Trust Fund and Minna Emirate Education Foundation.
He is also an Ahmadu Bello University and Harvard University Alumnus. In acknowledgement of his achievements and contribution towards its construction, he was awarded an honoris causa by the University of Technology, Minna, Niger State. He currently serves on the Board of Shelter Suits & Hotels Limited, Urban Abode Ltd, African Circle Pollution Management Company Limited and Shelter Clay Products Limited.

Dr. Olubunmi Peters
Executive Vice Chaiman/ Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Olubunmi Peters is an excellent, thorough professional and a consummate manager of human and material resources with over 35 years’ experience post-graduation, garnered in both the United States of America and Nigeria. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas El Paso USA and a master’s degree in Highway Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles, California – USA.
He was the Managing Director/CEO of the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) from 2006 to 2009 with a profile of 28 years meritorious public service to the nation in highway design, construction and maintenance. Dr. Olubunmi Peters is a respected community leader. He holds numerous Board positions within and outside of Nigeria.
Some of which include, Board Membership of Roads Nigeria PLC, member of the Board of Directors of Prepaid Medicare Services Limited, Chairmanship of Covenant Securities and Asset Management Limited and Member of the Board of Trustee of Shaw University, Raleigh, North Carolina, USA among others.

Engr. Sani Ndanusa
Board Member
Engr. Sani Ndanusa is both a corporate member and fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers. He is a registered Engineer of the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management. He has a Master’s Degree in Water and Waste Engineering from the Loughborough University of Technology and a HND in Civil Engineering. He served as a Higher Technical Officer with Niger State Water Board in 1981 and was the Resident Engineer representing Niger State in the Kagara Dam Construction.
He was involved in the provision of the bill of quantities for the Intercity Bank ltd. (Now Unity Bank Plc), headquarters building complex along Bosso road, Minna, Niger State. He has served as General Manager of Niger State Water Board from 2000 to 2003 and later as Permanent Secretary from 2004 to 2007. He has also served as Commissioner for Works and Infrastructural Development in 2008. He is currently a Director on the Board of North South Power Company (Operators of 600 Megawatts Shiroro Hydroelectric Power plant) and the Chairman, Puma Engineering Ltd.
A passionate sports veteran, he served as the 1st Vice President of the Confederation of African Tennis from 2003 to 2013. He was also President of the Nigerian Olympic Committee from 2010 to 2014. He is a member of the Sports Committee of the Commonwealth Games Federation.

Dr. George Nwangwu

Dr. George Nwangwu is a lawyer with close to two decades of experience in legal practice and academia in both Nigeria and the United Kingdom. Over the years he has advised the public and private sectors including the World Bank and DFID on different aspects of infrastructure development. Dr. Nwangwu is one of the leading names in public-private partnerships in Africa having written extensively in the subject area. He has also held various posts in the public sector including Head of Strategy and Multilateral Relations in the Bureau of Public Enterprises and also PPP Coordinator and Special Adviser to the Hon. Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy on Infrastructure Finance. Dr. Nwangwu attended the University of Lagos, University College London, University of Hull and University of Oxford.

Professional Bio

Engr. Emmanuel Katepa
Board Member (Copperbelt Energy Corporation Plc)
Engr. Emmanuel Katepa is a career engineer and manager with over twenty years’ experience in the power sector in sub-Saharan Africa, with a special focus on Southern and West Africa
He has developed pilot and small scale renewable energy projects including solar, 1 million litre per annum capacity biodiesel plant and a 2MW biomass gasification based power plant. He spent the early part of his career in operations and maintenance roles including heading the mechanical maintenance unit of a 220kV and 66kV transmission network.
During his Master of Engineering education, he specialised in the management of industrial and production equipment and has actively contributed to the adoption of Infrastructure Asset Management practices.
Professionally, he is a fellow of the Engineering Institution of Zambia, a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and of the Institute of Asset Management (IAM), UK.
Emmanuel holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree with honours in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Birmingham in the UK and a Master of Engineering Degree in Maintenance Management from the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Copperbelt University in Zambia, where he graduated at the top of his class.

Mrs. Irene Chigbue

Mrs. Irene Nkechi Chigbue is a graduate in Economics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and a graduate of Law of the Kings College University, London and was called to the Nigeria Bar in August, 1984.
She holds Masters’ degrees in Law and Philosophy and holds a Diploma and Advanced Diplomas from the University of Florida, Harvard University and Stanford University, California respectively in Utilities Regulation, Business Administration and Financial Management with several articles and papers written and presented on various platforms in different countries ranging from diverse issues.
She has served in the public and private sector; Central Bank of Nigeria (Benin), Federal Ministry of External Affairs (Lagos), the Bureau of Public Enterprises whilst now focused on Law Practice (Abuja).
With a long career spanning over 25 years, Mrs Irene Chigbue currently serves on the Board of the North South Power Company Limited as an Independent Director and member of several committees of the Board.
