Dr. Olubunmi Peters

Executive Vice Chaiman/ Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Olubunmi Peters is an excellent, thorough professional and a consummate manager of human and material resources with over 35 years’ experience post-graduation, garnered in both the United States of America and Nigeria. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas El Paso USA and a master’s degree in Highway Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles, California – USA.

He was the Managing Director/CEO of the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) from 2006 to 2009 with a profile of 28 years meritorious public service to the nation in highway design, construction and maintenance. Dr. Olubunmi Peters is a respected community leader. He holds numerous Board positions within and outside of Nigeria.

Some of which include, Board Membership of Roads Nigeria PLC, member of the Board of Directors of Prepaid Medicare Services Limited, Chairmanship of Covenant Securities and Asset Management Limited and Member of the Board of Trustee of Shaw University, Raleigh, North Carolina, USA among others.

 

Engr. Daudu Abdul-Aziz

Chief Operating Officer

Engr. Daudu Abdul-Aziz holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University and is a graduate of the Power Systems Engineering Course conducted by GE Power Systems, Schenectady, New York, USA.
Before joining North South Power in May 2014, Engr. Abdul-Aziz had worked with the defunct National Electric Power Authority (NEPA) for 30 years and rose to become Chief Executive Officer of Shiroro Hydroelectric PLC in 2008. Prior to his appointment as CEO, he had been Principal Manager (Protection, Control, and Metering) for many years, and also became Head (Production) in charge of plant operations. While still with NEPA (later PHCN), he became a member of the Board of the Presidential Task Force on Power (PTFP). He was seconded to the PTFP secretariat as a Senior Performance Monitor for Generating Plants as well as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Power Generation from 2010 to 2011. He contributed to the Generation chapter of the Roadmap for Power Sector Reform which was launched by the President in August 2010.
Engr. Abdul-Aziz is a fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and a member of CIGRE (the International Council on Large Electric Systems). He is registered with COREN. He is also a member of the Nigerian national committees of the following international professional associations and standards bodies: the International Network on Small Hydropower, the International Commission on Large Dams, the World Energy Council and the International Electrotechnical Commission.

Engr. Roland Lwiindi

Chief Technical & Commercial Officer

Engr. Roland Lwiindi is an Electrical Engineer with robust commercial, regulatory and operational experience. Roland has over 20 year experience and has held senior positions including Director International Projects, Director Commercial, Director Business Development at CEC Plc in addition to having been appointed to positions such as Senior Manager Planning, Senior Manager North and Chief Engineer System Planning at ZESCO.

He started his career in ZCCM as a sectional Engineer. During his time at ZESCO Roland contributed significantly to the identification and planning of several national and international transmission projects, many of which have since been implemented. Roland joined the CEC Plc in 2001, where he has headed various functions including business development, project planning and implementation and commercial management, and was involved in stakeholder management.

He was responsible for feasibility studies for hydro power development on the Luapula River.

Ikechukwu Okoli

GM Internal Audit, Risk Management and Tax

Ikechukwu is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and a member of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He has over 22years of professional working experience in Auditing, Accounting, Taxation and Financial Advisory Services.

He worked in KPMG Nigeria and later Akintola Williams Deloitte where he managed professional services engagements to clients in Construction, Manufacturing, Maritime, Financial institutions, Energy and Oil & Gas (Services) sectors of the economy. As an external auditor he was involved in international audit engagements in South Africa, UAE and Germany.

Norman Kapambalala

Norman Kapamalala is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA. He has over 18 years work experience in financial reporting, financial control and treasury management, having previously worked in senior positions at the

He previously held the positions of Finance Director, Senior Manager Finance, Chief Accountant at ZESCO and was Senior Reporting Accountant at CEC Plc. Norman is an accomplished accountant with key strengths in business / financial planning, financial & management reporting, financial modeling and performance management.

Mathew Lindunda

GM Compliance & Quality

Mathew Lindunda has over 25 years of work experience specializing in hydro power plants and has over the years worked in senior position including that of Managing Director, Technical Services Manager, Chief Systems Operations Engineer, and System Operations Engineer at Kariba North Bank. He is a qualified Electrical Engineer holding a degree in electrical engineering.

Dr. George Nwangwu

Legal Adviser/ Company Secretary

Dr. George Nwangwu is a lawyer with close to two decades of experience in legal practice and academia in both Nigeria and the United Kingdom. Over the years he has advised the public and private sectors including the World Bank and DFID on different aspects of infrastructure development. Dr. Nwangwu is one of the leading names in public-private partnerships in Africa having written extensively in the subject area. He has also held various posts in the public sector including Head of Strategy and Multilateral Relations in the Bureau of Public Enterprises and also PPP Coordinator and Special Adviser to the Hon. Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy on Infrastructure Finance. Dr. Nwangwu attended the University of Lagos, University College London, University of Hull and University of Oxford.
